AFFILIATION INFORMATION

Dr. A. Q. Khan Institute of Computer Sciences and Information Technology (KICSIT), Kahuta was approved and inaugurated in November 2000 by none other than Dr. A. Q. Khan himself, the founder and then chairman of KRL.

Initially, KICSIT offered only BCS prgramme in affiliation with Gomal University, D I Khan. Later in 2001, a 4-year BEIT programme was also started in affiliation with University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Taxila. However, the BCS programme has now been suspended, but the spade work is being done to launch some new programs (or disciplines).

In view of its ever-growing strength and scope, substantial steps are being taken to make it well-equipped with state of the art paraphernalia. It is worth-mentioning here that the new and full-fledged campus of KICSIT is under construction in the midst of lush green and scenic hills of Kahuta. With the accomplishment of such an extensive complex, spread over an area of 185 kanals, would definitely give an added name and distinction to the institution.

Nonetheless, the present structure and system provide the students with the most conducive environment in terms of regularity, punctuality and facilities. The students are provided with air-conditioned class rooms, equipped with projectors, multimedia facilities. Broad band DSL internet facility on LAN is provided in all labs equipped with P4 computers.

The bottom line approach of KICSIT is perfection and professionalism.
